About This Center

The Recycling Centers in Carlton County are designated for the collection of residential recyclables from county residents, with specific locations in Barnum, Carlton, Esko, Moose Lake, and Perch Lake. Business recyclables are not accepted at these centers. Operating hours vary from Wednesdays to Saturdays, with the Moose Lake staffed recycling center recently relocated to 3 Earl Ellens Dr. Accepted items at the staffed recycling centers include certain recyclables, while unaccepted items should not be deposited. Additionally, there are unstaffed recycling center locations throughout the county, open year-round for self-service recycling. Illegal garbage dumping at these locations should be reported to the Resource Recycling Coordinator. Visitors can access various recycling information resources such as brochures on solid waste services, plastics recycling, food waste, scrap metal recycling, plastic film recycling, and treecycling locations and dates. The Resource Recycling Newsletter offers archived editions for viewing and a sign-up option for receiving the quarterly newsletter. Furthermore, the county provides waste and recycling receptacles free of charge for event recycling programs, with brochures and applications available for reference.
