Independence County Recycling Center
110 Environmental Dr Batesville AR 72501 USA
The Independence County Solid Waste Division provides a quality and environmentally sound solid waste program for residents through waste reduction, recycling, disposal, and education. The Recycling Center accepts paper (newspapers, magazines, office paper), cardboard (corrugated boxes, paper bags), plastic (beverage, food containers), aluminum and tin cans, and glass bottles and jars. Items like electronics with microchips can also be dropped off. Not recyclable items include cat litter, plastic buckets, Christmas lights, toys, dirty diapers, and more. The center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 110 Environmental Drive off U.S Hwy 167 North. For waste reduction and reuse efforts, the center offers technical assistance to businesses and industries. Public education programs are available, with speakers covering solid waste topics and brochures on recycling programs. For more information, contact Eric Hedges, the Plant Manager, or Debbie Landers at the County Judge's Office.
